Seasons of Love and War
Set in the tumultuous 1960’s and 70’s, Beth Ann Rose faces a changing world without her childhood sweetheart, Kaylob Shawn O’Brien.
She keeps faith that he’ll be home soon, even though she’s been told that he is dead. She is unaware that the love of her life is languishing in squalor in one of the worst POW camps in Vietnam, yearning for the day he can be with her again.
In the meantime, Kaylob is fighting to stay alive, and make it home to the love of his life. He is tortured by the Cong, in ways one could never imagine.
Will he be able to survive in hell? Will he ever see his Beth Ann again?
Seasons of Love and War is about hope and the human spirit and how we can survive unbearable grief. This book teaches us about lost innocence, and changing times.
It also shows the pain the Vietnam vets went through during the war and the horror they lived through.

Very poignant and moving excerpt. Can love triumph over even the worst adversity is a theme that is always captivating and worth exploring.
